2. Adoption

August 8th, 2012

I was scheduled to have a csection aug 6th but due to a couple different things they decided we should wait until the next day. So we went out for lunch,  then I went home took a nap, cleaned a little, had dinner, read to the kids & watched 2 movies. Around 10pm I went to bed but woke up from pain at 12am. I drank some water & tried to go back to sleep but kept waking up in pain so I went out and sat on the couch. That’s when I realized the pain was from continuous contractions all within 5 mins of eachother.

I woke my husband  up at 1:30am and told him the pain was getting worse & I should probably go to the hospital to be safe. We were in the middle of switching phone services & my prepaid had ran out of minutes earlier that day so he left to go find a phone on foot because our car was in the shop. At 2am he came back, he had no luck!! By this time I was in tears from pain so I called for an ambulance with the prepaid phone.

By the time I got to the hospital I couldn’t stand the pain & the contractions were 2 mins a part. They prepped for an emergency c section & Issabella Hope was born around 4am. I had my other proceedure done after that. In the recovery room I finally got a hold of someone around 6am! My husband at the time had to stay home with the kids & no one else knew what happened so I had God as my only birthing partner =). I’m not sure if that’s what they call it for a csection since this was my first one but I was praying the whole time & didn’t feel alone. Plus the doctors & nurses were great! I had friends & family in my room by 7am & they transferred the baby to the childrens hospital around that time.  The adoptive parents never left her side!!

She was born 6 lbs 10oz & 17″ tall. Long brown hair, blue eyes!

MY NEW FAVORITE VERSE:  May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)

Here she is at 3 months old! I think she looks like me!
